You can use your Pflugerville Public Library card for books, CDs, DVDs and maker kits, but did you know that you can also enjoy these other free resources? Most of the library's digital resources even have apps that can be used on tablets and smartphones.
Borrow an e-book
E-books and audiobooks can be accessed a few different ways using your library card and the library catalog. Hoopla and Overdrive will give you access to thousands of books, all of which can be accessed using your computer, tablet or phone. TumbleBooks is an online collection of animated talking picture books that help teach children the joys of reading.
Stream a movie
Use Hoopla to watch movies from home on your computer, tablet or smartphone. You can event cast Hoopla using Google Chromecast or AppleTV.

These digital resources can be accessed through the library catalog, or by linking the app from your smart-device to your library card. If you don't have a library card, come by the library to apply for one. Persons who reside within the Pflugerville Independent School District (PISD) and are at least 18 years old, may obtain a library card through self-registration at the library. Children must be at least five years old to receive library cards, with a parent or legal guardian present. Some services require parental permission. Residents living outside the library district boundaries can obtain cards with a $25 annual fee.
To get a Library Card, bring the following to the library:
- Valid Driver’s license, State ID, Military ID, Mexican Consulate Card, or Passport
- Proof of current residency (if not on the above cards
