Summer Reading Program
Maker Pfest kicked off an entire Summer filled with events for all ages at the library. The Pflugerville Public Library is the perfect place to find pfun, pfree performances, workshops, crafts, books, movies and more this summer. Pick up a reading log at the library from June 3 to July 21 to participate in our Summer Reading Program. You will be randomly assigned to a team based on the color of your reading log. Last year the community read a total of 7,290 hours and this year our goal is 8,000 hours. Throughout the summer we have storytimes, crafts, coding and computer programming, special performances, movies, reading clubs, fandom debates and more.
The summer activities are not just for kids though. Adults can also attend home and garden presentations, featuring container gardening, home repair and beekeeping. In addition, regular favorites such as Adult Craft Night, Mystery Book Club, Adult Coloring Club, and Senior Crafternoon will continue through the summer. We’ll wrap up the summer at The End Pfest with a western-themed party.
To learn about the wide array of activities we have planned, read this Pflugerville Pflag article written by our Youth Services Librarian, Amanda Cawthon, or stop by the library and pick up a brochure.
