Library offers temporary cards for Hurricane Harvey evacuees
Hurricane Harvey evacuees can come to the Pflugerville Library to receive a free temporary library card. The cards will be issued one per family and are good for six months.
A library card can be used to check out books, music and movies at the library or to access electronic resources online. Library cardholders have access to resources like AtoZ databases for job searches, Chilton Auto Repair Guide for information on how to repair vehicles, NoveList Plus for reading recommendations, RB digital for e-magazines, TumbleBooks as educational entertainment for children and Texas Legal Forms, which can be used by families who are in the process of applying for disaster relief through the government. Library cardholders can also use Odillo for Spanish e-books, audiobooks and more.
Visitors of the library are welcome to use the free WiFi throughout the building and the public computers. There is also printing and scanning available. While you are here, you can participate in one of the many library programs that the library offers for babies, kids, tweens, teens, adults and seniors. All library programs are free, and you do not need a library card in order to attend.
For more information about the temporary library cards being offered to Harvey evacuees, call the library at 512-990-6375, or send the library a message on Facebook.
