The Pfab Lab is currently open for programs. Stop by the Pfab Lab to enjoy tours, demos and hands-on activities. Materials are provided while supplies last.
As a reminder, these classes are for those 18 and up only. Children are not permitted in the Pfab Lab during adult classes.
Pfab Lab Adult Crafts and Demos:
Thursday, August 17 at 6:00 pm: Laser Cutter Demo
Check out the library's new Full Spectrum laser cutter! Staff will demonstrate what the machine can do and give you information on the Summer schedule, which will include some Pfab Lab open hours. 18 and up only.
Thursday, September 7 at 6 pm: 3D Printer Training
Learn how to use the library's 3D printers. This is a hands-on class taught by Dr. Ron. Anyone 12 and up may register online starting 8/31/2017.
Sunday, September 10 at 2pm and 4 pm: Laser Cutter Training
Learn how to use the library's laser cutter. Participants will then be able to make appointments on designated days to use the laser cutter for personal projects (with staff assistance). Register online starting 9/3/17. 18 and up only.
Friday, September 15 at 2 pm: Embroidery Machine Training
In this orientation, you'll learn how to operate the library's embroidery/sewing machines. After completing orientation, you'll receive a badge that will allow you to sign up for a time slot to use the embroidery machines. You can register for Pfab Lab hours on September 24 to use a machine.
Attendees who register need to have a library card. Teens (12 & up) and adults are welcome to register. Please cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend. A waiver of liability may be required. Register by calling or using our online system starting on 9/8/17.
